Thank you to EVERYONE for supporting Walk A Mile in Her Shoes (in the rain) Madison-2013.  The event was a great success—even in the rain! We will continue to accept pledges and payments throughout the week.  Early numbers show that participation has increased each year… and we will update the website with pictures and final numbers soon!

Fundraising Trophies – The competition for first place was really close!  Thank you for all of your efforts and enthusiasm!

Thank you for joining DAIS, UNIDOS & WCADV

for the fourth annual Walk a Mile Madison,

a community event to raise awareness about and

to protest domestic violence and gender violence.

Put Yourself in Her Shoes™ Walk a Mile in Her Shoes® is an opportunity to educate the community about a very serious subject and to rally the community to take action to prevent domestic violence.

First You Walk the Walk -Then You Talk the Talk. Proceeds from sponsored walkers will benefit DAIS (Domestic Abuse Intervention Services), UNIDOS Against Domestic Violence and Wisconsin Coalition Against Domestic Violence (WCADV).  In 2012 over 250 people participated in Walk a Mile Madison including educators, students, and law enforcement officers, elected and appointed officials, along with those in the community committed to ending domestic violence.

Men, women, & children will walk one mile

in women’s high heeled shoes to

protest domestic violence.

Gather friends and family and form a team!
